The Parlotones
A lot of foreigners are still not aware that we have a rock music scene in South Africa. I aim to educate those in the dark. There is no doubt in my mind that this is one of the best South African bands out there. The Parlotones burst onto the scene in 2003. They rose to the forefront of SA music in 2006 when they signed a European license deal on the back of their debut single “Beautiful” being used in a Fujifilm commercial.

Actually this band sucks, totally unoriginal and technically mediocre. I hope one day south africans will wake up to good music, and not just listen to whats played on the radio and tv.
