Here is a brief description of "His Latest Flame"

His Latest Flame are from Cape Town, South Africa, formed in 2006 and they acquired their name from the Elvis Presley UK number 1, (Marie’s The Name) His Latest Flame. According to NME’s Mark Mentiros “their sound has flavours of eighties post punk and indie with a self assured vintage sixties element” but for the most part they are quite unclassifiable, falling neither into the current Indie scen nor the Lo-fi scene. Samp3 had this to say, “Brand new SA group gives REM fans a reason to smile with this moody melodic rocker”.

Was Michael Jackson A victim Of Legal Drug Syndication?

Passages from The Bible flood in automatically to fill the void left by all the questions and half answers left in my heart as a result of the sudden passing of Michael Jackson.
I never got the chance to meet this cat, nor the opportunity to get to know him personally and as a musician, this legend was a great inspiration in his performances, to a whole generation of pop musicians. He was huge then and may be more in his death: but that is not the focus of this essay.
Am I My Brother’s Keeper Even When There Is A Lot of Money to Be Made? This is not a question for only the health care providers but for everybody in business. Let us agree that It is a challenge when your whole career as a health care giver is suddenly shoved under the spotlights. Your whole future is suddenly basking under the glory of a mega star.Great.
Michael Jackson’s sudden death raises a common question that concerns all of us. Protection for both parties in a doctor patient confidentiality agreement can be protected if there is a neutral body in place to monitor the agreement? We live in a world where more clients now make more money than their doctors. Rich Patients can now hire or fire “professional medical help“just at the snap of a finger. These types of patients have got to a place where they can choose and even organise medical teams, and orchestrate medical procedures with doctors coming from different jurisdictions and countries .They have realised that they can afford to manipulate choices in their favour.
How can we apply “I am my brother’s keeper” when you risk to lose a patient who thinks he or she knows what they want? That is a question that should be reserved for the doctor’s conscience. Now that it seems the American Health Care system is being marketed as a product, where is our stance on ethics?
I believe the passage i chose from the Bible is addressing both our human and physical intellectual wares and should remind us of a few fundamental truths about ourselves. We have become smart and arrogant and have found all kinds of ways at outsmarting the laws protecting the integrity of our “medical help” systems in place. This is for both Buyers and Sellers of health services.
In Isaiah 64:6,the Bible says “But we are all like an unclean thing, And all our righteousness are like filthy rags; We all fade as a leaf, And our iniquities, like the wind, Have taken us away.”
Time to ponder about these things.
Abuse of prescription drugs, doctor client privacy privileges and you in the middle.Do you really feel protected even if it were you who kept ordering the drugs against your doctor’s wishes? In all Client and Vendor relationships we all know the things we do to keep our high ticket customers don’t we? One of the facts about ethics is that it is neither a business, social nor political issue. It is about basic human values.
Michael’s case reminds me of Princess Di. If she had stayed in his husband’s protection I am sure she would have been alive today. Michael should have stayed stuck to Quincy for not only music but life issues. Right? Bruce Sweden was the one in charge of the sweet sounds in the mixes then what happened?
Suddenly all the songs became drum machine ridden with yelps and all kinds of whacked up moves and stuff. If you doubt go listen to the Quincy era.Greed? Pressure? What if the monkey wrench in the whole equation was a mega star himself having too much power to the point that suddenly, he/she could out manoeuvre around everybody and end up hurting himself? Maybe, the star now had so much clout, you were history when you did not deliver what he wanted on time.
Ethics?
Yeah right. How can one human being owe so much to a pharmacy?
$100,000 a month Hotel Suites without a single stinking defibrillator? The one thing that mattered most.
Not the Limos, nor the Business Deals, nor the Beatles Catalogue, nor the smooth media and press image, but just being healthy.
OK you would think a $300 an hour doctor on call should seal the deal and Mr Jackson still could not make it through the night to read his newspaper in the morning? Come on American Business.
OK, he should have sang “The Girls from Ipanema”, did Opera, challenged the late Pavarotti, taught music at Berklee School of Music and even did Smooth Jazz. Nope. This guy was very focused and probably had bigger fish to fry.
So far as his plastic surgery thing went, it was not only him who was guilty if you think that was a crime. Almost all Americans and people who could afford a nip and a tuck creepingly went under the knives.
Personally, I think he really looked terrific in his new facials with dimples in the right places and all. What’s amazing is how courageous and pure he was. He is a guy who was not afraid of taking risks.
To me he donated his body to fulfill our thirst and love for perfection desired for the perpetual human circus?

Learn About How Replicating Digital Music At No Cost Online Is Changing The Music Industry Considerably

As most have heard a great deal about already, free replicating of electronically formatted music, although is illegitimate, a lot of people from around the world is still and will still continue replicating and hearing their most favorite tunes without going out and buying the CD from the stores. People still are able to sit at their PCs and replicate all of the music for free that their tiny hearts desire and the music business is altering significantly because of it.

All through this article I am going to tell you more about the ways that replicating from various artists is affecting the music business in so many ways. It is something that has been disgraceful since the 1st day that it was ever invented.

Downloading online has become so popular that the music business is having to reconsider how they are going to continue selling music to the public and many things are currently in the workings and I am quite certain that something else will be done about it, that will change the fact that it is so simple for anyone of us to replicate so very easily.

The replicating of electronically formatted music will without doubt have a bearing on the careers of up and coming artists such as Lucie Jones.

By being able to replicate , individuals can just choose their favorite songs from any album and replicate those, then transfer them straight onto a single CD and have all of their favorite songs right there in front of them, for no charge and all the enjoyment that they could ever ask for. As I mentioned though, not only is this affecting the music business in a very negative way, it could also be affecting the artists themselves, altering how much money they are making each year potentially.

If you the fans are not paying for the music but instead just replicating from the internet, then you are hurting them vividly, whether you ever really think about that or not.

Cajon Rhythm Divne

The cajon , for me, is the most amazing percussion instrument to accompany a small acoustic ensemble/band. It has a great dynamic range and blends fantastically with other instruments. In our case that’s guitar, bass, piano and of cause the cajon…..and various other whistles and things….aah, I almost forgot the hang. Anyway, I thought the following bit of cajon history was pretty interesting.
Slaves of West and Central African origin in the Americas, specifically Peru, are considered to be the source of the cajón drum; though the instrument is common in musical performance throughout the Americas, especially Cuba. In Cuba, the cajón is associated with the Afro-Cuban drum/song/dance style known as rumba, while in Peru it is associated with several Afro-Peruvian genres.
The cajón was most likely developed in coastal Peru during the early 1800s. The instrument reached a peak in popularity by 1850, and by the end of the 19th century cajón players were experimenting with the design of the instrument by bending some of the planks in the cajón's body to alter the instrument's patterns of sound vibration.
Knowing that the cajón comes from slave musicians in the Spanish colonial Americas, there are two complementary origin theories for the instrument. It is possible that the drum is a direct descendant of a number of boxlike musical instruments from west and central Africa, especially Angola, and the Antilles. These instruments were adapted by Peruvian slaves from the Spanish shipping crates at their disposal. In port cities like Matanzas, Cuba they used cod-fish shipping crates. Elsewhere, small dresser drawers became instruments.
The other theory posits that slaves simply used boxes as musical instruments to combat contemporary Spanish colonial bans on music in predominantly African areas. In this way, cajóns could easily be disguised as seats or stools, thus avoiding identification as musical instruments. In all likelihood it is a combination of these factors - African origins and Spanish suppression of slave music - that led to the cajón's creation.
In the 1970s, Peruvian composer and cajón master Caitro Soto gave a cajón as a present to Spanish guitarist Paco de Lucía during one of his visits to Peru. De Lucía liked the sounds of this instrument so much that before leaving the country he bought a second cajón. Later he introduced the cajón to flamenco music.
Besides its standard use, the cajon has been played in a variety of ways, according to the influences it has been under over time.

The Hang Sound Sculpture

A Hang (pronounced "hung") is a harmonically tuned steel idiophone created by PANArt in Switzerland. It uses some of the same physical principles as a steelpan but with a nitrided surface and structural change of having two clamped shells with a small opening so that the instrument is a Helmholtz Resonator. There has also been much metallurgical and acoustic research by the makers which has led to significant changes in structure, design, and process. The creation of the Hang was the result of many years of research on the steelpan as well as the study of a diverse collection of instruments from around the world; such as gongs, gamelan, ghatam, drums, bells, etc. Ghatam/Udu-like sounds can be produced using the Helmholtz resonance that occurs within the clamped shallow shells. The Hang also has the capacity to ring like a singing bowl. The instrument has sometimes been referred to by owners and others as a hang drum, because it is often played like a drum, its relation to the steel drum, and its popularity with hand drummers. While this is true, there are other ways to coax sound out of a Hang that do not involve 'drumming'. The creators do not call it a drum either, but instead tend to refer to it as a 'sound sculpture', which could be considered appropriate as it is hand made and has sculptural/architectural elements as well as sonic ones.
